CBRN – First Responder
This course is for those persons who may find themselves operating in an area where there is a risk of a CBRN incident taking place spontaneously. The course is suitable for all levels of an organisation and should also be the starting point for managers wishing to develop their ability to deal with a CRBN incident or to recover from one.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this unit, students will have sufficient skills to enable them to
1. Understand the terrorists or others ability and methodology needed to undertake a CBRN attack.
2. Recognise the signs and symptoms of a CBRN incident
3. Understand the impact on a CBRN incident from location and environmental conditions
4. Use methods of escape from a CBRN incident
5. Understand methods of decontamination
6. Evaluate and discuss a case study of a CBRN incident
7. Carry out CBRN equipment drills
